8 May - Zoë enjoys a box

We've had an automatic garbage can in the kitchen now for probably ten years or more... We replaced our first one when it died and, a few weeks ago, the second one quit working. We tried going with the no lid option for a bit, but finally decided we really needed to just get a new one... and best of all (at least according to the cats), it came in a really big box! )

Out again on the Pipeline Trail and I spotted a rather fun birdhouse, designed as a miniature version of the nearby barn. )

Last Saturday, the Duvall Civic Club held their annual Plant and Garden Art Sale. We missed it last year (we moved out this way a month or so too late), but were rather excited to go this year and weren't disappointed! Parking along Main Street was completely packed, so we parked a few blocks away and walked over... not entirely sure where, exactly, the sale was being held. Thankfully Faurenlink, a Geocaching friend of ours, was standing out on the sidewalk with some very creative signs! )

So many good photos to choose from on this day! We ended up driving down to the Olympia area to visit [personal profile] rackham's aunt and uncle... and to find a rather cool Geocache that is going to be archived soon (the person who built it and owns it is moving and taking it with him). Rackham's aunt and uncle have a really clever portable chicken coop that I snapped a few shots of, they've also go a cow with a calf, who got over being shy and let me take some photos... and the bull was just so happy to have visitors (he's currently being kept separated from the others until the calf is a bit bigger) that he was willing to do all sorts of posing. But in the end, I went with a photo of an entirely different cool cache! )

I was just looking over the new fall TV schedule over at Entertainment Weekly (thanks, [profile] shadowkat67, for the link!) and was shocked to find four new shows that looked like they might actually grab me! In fairness, there are a few shows currently on the air that I think I'd really like, once I get around to watching them... I've got so many friends who love Arrow and I still haven't seen it. Same with Once Upon a Time and Sleepy Hollow. I've just found it so hard to get into TV lately... although I'm not sure why.

Talk about upcoming shows under the cut. )
