Last Saturday, the Duvall Civic Club held their annual Plant and Garden Art Sale. We missed it last year (we moved out this way a month or so too late), but were rather excited to go this year and weren't disappointed! Parking along Main Street was completely packed, so we parked a few blocks away and walked over... not entirely sure where, exactly, the sale was being held. Thankfully Faurenlink, a Geocaching friend of ours, was standing out on the sidewalk with some very creative signs!

The "flowers" at the top were made by taking old vinyl records and heating them in the oven and them molding them into that shape... then adding some old CDs in the center. Definitely eye-catching! We managed to find some great stuff at the sale and love that so many of the plants were obviously starts that were just taken out of people's gardens... indicating that they're likely to grow pretty well here! We got a couple types of heirloom tomatoes (and got one type called "Harbinger" simply because we couldn't resist the name), some strawberries and some herbs.
I'm thinking next year, I may dig up some of our crop of chives to donate to the sale. We certainly have plenty to spare!
