Fall television viewing schedule
Aug. 20th, 2007 01:26 pmI've seen a few other people do it, so I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon... I used the fall schedule guide out at Futon Critic to make my list, which means I might have missed a few things, if they didn't show up there.
I'm finding myself in the strange position of hoping some of these shows really suck, because I really don't want to spend that much time watching television!
The shows in italics are the ones I want to check out, but have no idea whether they'll actually catch me in the long run.
Monday:
8PM - Chuck
9PM - Heroes
10PM - Journeyman
Tuesday:
6PM - Reaper
8PM - Bones
9PM - House
Wednesday:
8PM - Pushing Daisies
9PM - Bionic Woman
Thursday:
10PM - Without a Trace (duh!)
Friday:
9PM - Moonlight (I don't have a lot of hope for this one, but figure I'll at least give it a try.)
10PM - Numb3rs
Sunday:
8PM - Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (sometimes, you just want feel-good TV)

Date: 2007-08-20 09:50 pm (UTC)Yeah, Moonlight is the one that's being accused of being an Angel rip-off. To be fair, Forever Knight did the vampire detective (although it was a police detective) thing long before Angel ever appeared. I'm thinking Moonlight sounds like a little of a cross between Angel, Forever Knight and Kindred: The Embraced as far as the vamp detective and actual vamp lore goes. For some reason I really, really want it to be good. I miss vamp related TV.
Random thought on Numb3rs: So what is Don's shrink going to do about the fact that all his trust issues with his team members were proved to be perfectly legit in the finale last season? Maybe Don doesn't have trust issues, he's just that good at reading people. And I'm still cranky about the whole Colby thing.

Date: 2007-08-20 10:56 pm (UTC)Colby is returning so maybe it's all a plan-within-a-plan kind of thing.
The only new show I'll try is "Moonlight" because I need my vampire-fix.

Date: 2007-08-21 12:39 am (UTC)Oh yeah... that's why that one rated a "Duh" after the listing. :-) I've never actually seen the show before, but it always struck me as being one I would probably enjoy, so I'm pretty happy he's gotten a role on that show.

I would love for it to be good, because it hits a lot of my buttons for genre shows... but with all the behind the scenes turmoil and changes, I'm not holding out a lot of hope. That's not going to keep me from checking it out, though.

I know!!! My optimistic side hopes they did that deliberately.

I totally didn't see it coming, but I could also buy it as a plot twist. I just hope they find some way of keeping him on the show. Which reminds me that I really need to get
