Tonight's 24

But first... things I have loved about this season (not really spoilery except maybe for casting info if you haven't seen the first half of the season, so I don't think it needs a cut):

1) The Russians are all being played by hot Englishmen!!! (Or maybe it just seems that way.)
2) It was great to see JoBeth Williams again (if you've never seen the movie "American Dreamer" then you MUST rent it soon!), but she was really wasted in that role.
3) Thankfully, I'm not finding Audrey nearly as annoying as last season.
4) The plot's not dragging!! Yay! They've actually found a way to keep things rolling without it seeming too silly.
5) Aaron! Aaron getting screentime! Aaron kicks butt!!

And now for comments on tonight's episode...

Was that plane landing not the best thing EVER!?!?!! Loved the staging, loved the suspense, loved it all!

Finally, they've found a director who can handle doing romantic scenes... because the bit between Jack and Audrey in the infirmary? That was actually pretty good.

Is anyone even remotely surprised that Miles is betraying them all? Yeah, I thought not.

Okay, now... the Consortium? Dumb. Really dumb. Yeah it may have worked for The X-Files but that's because it was the freakin' X-Files!!! This isn't. I guess the writers wanted to introduce a potential long-term enemy, someone even harder for Jack to beat... but it's really falling flat for me.

Only three hours left... will Logan go down for his crimes?!? Will someone finally hit Miles is in smug little face?!?! (Please let it be Chloe!) Will we continue to not ever see Kim again?!?! (yay!) Will Jack have to go on the run again?!? These are the times when I wish I'd just recorded everything and waited until the season was over to watch it in one very looooong weekend.

I haven't seen last night's, but did Aaron pop back up? I miss him so much, he's just so great. I was really hoping he and Martha would run off together, that those crazy kids could make it on their own. I've been very worried about Aaron, though I'm not paying attention as much to the show since they killed everyone off, especially my Tony.

Consortium stuff is so Surnow and Cochran. They always had some sekrit overarching collection of terrorists -- hell, in their last seasons, they even called them The Collective -- on La Femme Nikita. They love to pull those tricks out of the hats over and over.

This has been a great season. In fact, I'm thinking that this may be my most favorite season yet!

I (personally) want Martha and Aaron to get rid of Charles. He has been so annoying this season and I hate seeing him staying out of the hopper (even if it's by a thread).

I too enjoyed the Jack/Audrey moment in the infirmary. And she is much less annoying this season. I was a little worried earlier when it looked like she may be a traitor and loved the way Jack interrogated her. Cool stuff!

I would be more surprised to see Miles not betraying his mentor who froze him out and consorted with ones he considers criminals. He is a very ambitious man and I think he's really enjoyed the fact that he's been driving or been the real power behind things. How deflating it must have been to have suddenly been shut out. However, I do despise his character and have since he came on the scene. But, I suppose ... this is the point, eh?!

I'm excited to see the remaining episodes!
