Well, I just bought tickets to go see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire... at the midnight showing on Thursday.

You know, it's not even that I'm terribly, horribly anxious to see the movie... I could have easily waited until the next day to go. But midnight showings? Tend to be a whole lot of fun... because, generally, those are the people who REALLY want to see the movie.

Plus, and this may be evil of me to say, they're also a lot less likely to be filled with tons of little kids.

And before I forget, a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to [livejournal.com profile] shipperx!!!

I wish I could go to the midnight showing, tonight. I know exactly what you mean.

But, in reality:
1. I am miserable at midnight showings; even when I've taken naps.
2. Who am I kiddding? I'm entirely too responsible and think I have to be at work and functional.

::sigh::

Well, right after I bought the tickets a friend reminded me that we've got an appointment to do some volunteer work the next morning, meaning I'll have to be heading out of the house by 9:00am. Oops. Of course, [livejournal.com profile] rackham has to go to work the next day, regardless, so I really don't have anything to complain about. At least I can come home and take a nap later in the day if I really need it.

I'm looking forward to seeing Goblet especially since someone (I can't remember who now) who got to see a press screening said it's much better than POA. I'll probably end up seeing it at a matinee though, maybe on the Friday after Thanksgiving since I'm off that day.
