Idaho Falls

It's extremely chilly here and, thankfully, just raining... no snow in Idaho Falls, at least not yet.

Dialup sucks (my sympathies with those of you who still have to put up with it on a regular basis), but it's certainly better than nothing.

Stopped by Aussie Eats for lunch today... a curry steak meat pie floater and a can of Passiona. Life is so, so good.

You know, LJ has actually been a tad more sedate lately... until I head out of town and don't have the opportunity to be online as much, at which point it just explodes. Of course. I know I'm probably missing some great stuff, dammitall.

And finally, Happy Birthday to speakr2customrs!!! I know I've missed a bunch of other birthdays, but I wanted to make sure to catch his, at least in my time zone! Hope you had a great birthday, to match all that fantastic fic you've given us.

There's a pretty shiny zoo there in Idaho Falls, if it's still open this time of year. Small, but they have some of the best big cat enclosures I've ever seen. *eyeshift* Not that I've ever driven up there just to see the zoo or anything. No, not me.

Oh yeah! Tautphaus Zoo has been a favorite of mine since I was really little... I'd been thinking of going sometime this week. So are you in Utah, then? Probably something I already knew and have forgotten. :-p

I actually like Tautphaus better than Hogle Zoo, but I always figured a lot of that is the nostalgia aspect of it too. Lots of good memories of spending time there with my grandparents.

Yup, we've lived in Utah for about 15 years now. We get a membership at the zoo, because with the Hubby's flight privileges, we can go to a hundred other zoos nationwide, and I'm a *cough* bit of an addict.

That little bear place up north of Idaho Falls is kinda nice too.
