When you see this in a friend's journal, quote Shakespeare!
Okay, off the top of my head:
"In my stars I am above thee; but be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em."
I always loved that one because it so often gets quoted out of context by people who regard it with utter seriousness. Which probably makes it even funnier, now that I think of it.
If you ever get a chance, I highly recommend tracking down the version of "Twelfth Night" that was done in the late 1960s, if for no other reason than to see a younger Sir Alec Guinness as Malvolio, prancing around trying to impress Olivia.
