In Tillamook, Oregon

fenchurchJust a quick update, because I'm absolutely exhausted...
We spent the day meandering up the Oregon coast on Highway 101, an absolutely gorgeous drive that I would highly recommend to everyone (I'd post photos, but like an idiot, I accidentally left the digital camera at home, so we're stuck with a disposable). Lots of hiking and walking on various beaches, hence the current inability to keep my eyes open for more than a few seconds at a time. I think this might be worth repeating at some point soon... it's a fairly easy weekend vacation and the Oregon coastline isn't just beautiful, it's also interesting. It makes a difference.

cynthdiane, you might be interested to know that there's a Worldmark by TrendWest resort down near Newport, right on the beach.)
Tomorrow, we'll hit the cheese factory just up the street (you can't go to Tillamook without going to the cheese factory... that's what the area is famous for!), then continue on up the coast, possibly to Astoria, though we may cut over to the Interstate at some point, too.
I took a few minutes and skimmed over my flist, and I'm trying really hard to avoid any spoilers for today's episode of Doctor Who (I won't get a chance to download it until tomorrow night), so hopefully I haven't missed anything terribly important or particularly scintillating (or, at least, nothing I can't catch up on later). :-)
