We have way too many books...

I got tagged by
shipperx:
1) How many books do you have?
I don't have an exact amount. I can tell you that there are 2,679 books in the database, which currently only lists our Science Fiction and Fantasy collection. I believe it's a fairly accurate number (though we've picked up a dozen or so books recently that haven't been catalogued yet, not all of them are SF&F). We have two and a half bookcases filled with the Mystery/Horror/Thriller section, another half a bookcase filled with Men's Adventure (I love the Destroyer books... and Matt Helm), three shelves of Romance novels, two shelves of Mathematics/Physics books, three shelves of Media books, another shelf of RPG books, a bookcase filled with the Philosophy/Politics/Economics section, another filled with the Religion section, another filled with Non-Fiction, one filled with General Fiction, two bookcases with the Humor section, and two bookcases with the Juvenile/Children's section. And I'm probably forgetting some.
I'd say it's probably safe to guess that we're somewhere in the vicinity of 5,000.
2) What is the last book you bought?
Dead Beat by Jim Butcher
3)What is the last book you read?
Doc Sidhe by Aaron Allston
4) Five books that mean a lot to me.
Off the top of my head (and really hard to limit it to only five):
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein
Fallen Angels by Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, and Michael Flynn
Archer's Goon by Diana Wynne Jones
Chaos by James Gleick
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle
5) Tag five others to do this meme.
I don't think I've seen any of them answer this one already, and I'd be interested in their answers:
nmissi
taradaktyl (yeah, this is just a sneaky way of getting her to post on her LJ)
gidgiddoni
archerrat
mekle
And now, I'm off again. Just a few more things to pack, then it's time to hop in the car and head southeastward... to Vegas for the Episode III Mini-Con (can't wait to see you guys!!!) by way of Utah.
