Okay, now that was different
Aug. 8th, 2003 09:19 pmWe decided to get pizza for dinner tonight, because although there's nothing really going on, none of us wanted to cook. So, we ordered the Salmon Primo from Pagliacci's (it's a seasonal pizza special, likely to only be available for another week or so) as well as a large chopped salad to split. I'd never had the Salmon Primo before, but it had been highly recommended by Mint Witch at Vulkon (yes, we were standing outside a hotel in Tampa, Florida talking about our favorite pizzas at a restaurant in the Seattle area).
Anyway, we were given the total, got a check ready for the delivery guy and hunted around for a few ones to give as a tip. When he showed up, he handed my husband the pizza and salad, said it was no charge, and handed over a card. Apparently, we really do order pizza from there a lot,
because this was all a thank you for being such good customers... the card was a thank you card, signed by the folks at the local Pagliacci's, with the manager's business card tucked inside and a magnet with the delivery phone number. We only get pizza there once a week... and, well, sometimes a little more often if they have a seasonal pizza we particularly like, but I guess it
adds up quickly!
Very cool, but very weird...
Oh, and the Salmon Primo actually *is* incredibly good, but I still prefer the Pear Primo (only two more months to go!!)
