"24" and that stupid foot
Mar. 14th, 2005 11:15 pmIt's not like I've had much of a chance to do anything really exciting.
The stupid foot continues to hurt. Despite how nasty it looked last Friday, deep down I was thinking it would be markedly better by now. And yeah, no more stabby pains, for the most part... but still the throbby stuff. And, of course, I'm not putting any weight on it, so who knows if the stabby bits are really gone.
taradaktyl very kindly stopped by on her way to or from dropping kids off at various activities, after my rather piteous phone call, to carry two baskets of clean laundry from the basement to the bedroom upstairs. I can manage getting dirty clothes downstairs -- I load it in a laundry bag and kick it with my good foot down the hallway, down the stairs, and into the laundry room. Don't knock it, it works... and it gives me something useful to do.
Quick thoughts about tonight's "24":
Yay! Michelle!
And doesn't that just go to show what an absolutely wretched director Driscoll was? Michele steps in and in fairly short order shakes out the department and gets people working and coordinating the way they should be.
The "we're patriots too" speech from the middle eastern sporting goods/gun shop owners seemed a bit preachy... and fairly poorly delivered, which made it worse. I know why they did it, but I thought it was a rather transparent effort by the writers.
Poor Paul had a bullseye on his chest the moment he went off alone with Jack.
I'm not entirely sure I can find the logic behind the defense contractor's decision to set off the EMP and then send mercenaries out to kill a federal agent. Weird. Or maybe I'm missing something.
I still think Jack's relationship with Audrey is toast.
Michelle and Tony... *happy sigh*
I find it odd that we're getting this much advance knowledge as to what Marwan has planned next. You'd think the writers would want to spring it on us as more of a surprise... which makes me wonder what else is going to happen.
It's so nice finally being caught up on that show so I can watch the new episodes as they air.
