Possum!

I was watching the Happy Days 30th Anniversary Reunion this evening (don't look at me like that... I grew up watching that series -- and may I say, Anson Williams still looks pretty good (yes, I had a crush on Potsie)) when I noticed the light on the back deck had switched on (it's motion sensitive). I figured it was one of the neighborhood cats... but then I kept seeing something very light colored out the corner of my eye. I got a little closer to the sliding glass doors and there it was: Possum!!!

I grabbed the video camera and taped a bit of it wandering around the deck, then called rackham upstairs to see it... we must have watched the possum for over 20 minutes. It was pretty fearless about coming up to the glass doors and I think I got some pretty good shots of it. The funny thing is that I only very recently (as in yesterday) tracked down the video camera (I don't think we've used it in nearly five years) and had charged up the batteries so it was actually working. I think we may try converting the video this weekend, if we get a chance, and putting it up online.
