Once again at a truckstop. I love modern technology. I'm just about to head out and I'll probably at least pull into the truckstop parking lot in La Grande to check mail when I get there in a few hours... odds that I'll have access to dialup at my mom's place are pretty slim.

I realized I never shared one of the funniest things that happened during my visit with my grandmother... she's quite fond of daytime dramas on cable, by which I mean "Judging Amy," "Law & Order" and "NYPD Blue." Not shows I'd ever watched before, but they turned out to be pretty good -- I mean, I'm not planning to start watching them on my own any time soon, but I can certainly think of worse things to watch during the day. Anyway, that's not all of it... after those shows are over, her favorite thing to watch: "Angel."

Yep. My grandmother is a fan of AtS... sort of. The funniest part was the first day we were watching together and Lorne came on the screen. She turned to me at that point and explained that while he may look like a devil, he's actually a good guy. Hee!!!! It was all I could do to keep from giggling. She actually doesn't really understand the mythos of the show, but she likes it nonetheless... It just cracked me up that she kept trying to reassure me that not all of the "devils" on the show were bad.

Back on the road again... I've given up on trying to catch up on my flist for the moment, not nearly enough time!
