19 June - Oddly Parked Car

fenchurchSo on my birthday, I spent most of the day doing nothing much. I'd just gotten home the previous night and ended up sleeping a total of 12 hours. O.o I'd fallen asleep about 8:30 without really meaning to, had woken up around 3:00 and decided there was no way I was getting up that early on my birthday and slept nearly six more hours. Apparently I needed it (not surprising, coming off a convention weekend), because I felt fantastic when I finally got up. rackham came home from work a bit early and we headed over to the Paradise Valley Conservation Area to do some hiking and find some Geocaches.
Imagine our surprise when we stumbled across this gem, quite a ways into the woods off a small trail.
The car wasn't terribly old, but we were both a bit perplexed as to how anyone could have gotten in there in the first place. We really weren't near any roads and the trails out to this spot were often not wide enough to allow a car through (with trees and boulders on either side). But there it was, stripped and upside down in the middle of the woods. Way to keep the world mysterious, random anonymous car thieves (because I sort of doubt the actual owner did this to it).
