6 June - Ice Cream Social

fenchurchOn Friday, our old church congregation was having an ice cream social... and several folks invited us to go. rackham was still recovering from The Plague (he'd overdone it the day before because he thought he was finally over it), so I went alone. I had a fantastic time and it was great seeing all those familiar faces... plus I brought along a ton of Magic Pills so I could actually enjoy the ice cream too.
The best part was the homemade ice cream competition! They were all good, but my favorite had to be the one made bytaradaktyl's husband. It's the one the guy wearing the suit jacket is spooning out: Salted Caramel and Candied Bacon.
Yep, you read right. Candied bacon. And oh my gosh, was it GOOD.
