10 March - 3D Glasses!
Mar. 11th, 2014 11:10 pm10 March - 3D Glasses!
So, one of the cool features of the new projector for the basement, aside from being short throw so we don't have to worry as much about getting in front of the projection, is that it is also capable of doing 3D! Yes, really!!
rackham did some research and found a great deal on some very highly rated 3D glasses and they arrived Monday.
First things first, we plugged those suckers in... then waited a few hours before getting impatient and taking them downstairs to take them for a spin, so to speak.

We put in the 3D version of the "Day of the Doctor" Blu-Ray... We'd actually seen it in 3D in the theater back when it first aired and had been pretty impressed with the effects. And the 3D on the new system here? Oh wow... nearly as good as the one in the theater! We'd planned on just watching a few minutes to get an idea of how well they worked, but wound up watching the whole thing again. Awesome!!!
