9 March - Skykomish River
Mar. 11th, 2014 10:53 pmSunday morning we both overslept and woke up horribly groggy. Daylight Saving Time claiming more victims? I don't know... but it certainly seems to be kicking my behind this year. Anyway, when we finally dragged ourselves out of a stupor enough to figure out what we were doing, we were too late for church. I still wanted to find a Geocache, so I went looking for one that might be a bit of a drive, but should be a park and grab... so we headed out on Highway 2 and found one out near the Skykomish River.
I thought this was a great vantage point for seeing how wild, high and fast the Skykomish River is going right now with all the flooding. The bridge you see there is for Highway 2, one of the major routes running east-west across the state.
