Friday and Saturday photos

On Friday, I went caching out in the Snoqualmie River Valley again and stopped to snap this photo of the Novelty Hill Bridge, which runs over the Snoqualmie River. There are four rocks like this on display, one on each side of the road on each side of the bridge... but I have to admit, I kinda like the look of it.

On Saturday, I headed back out there, this time with
rackham in tow... to take him out to an absolutely beautiful spot I'd found the day before. After a half hour hike/walk along a very muddy trail, we ended up at this incredibly idyllic location.

I'm not sure how they did it, because that swing is absolutely solid and is actually bolted to the tree limb (and it's bigger than it looks... it held each of us, easily, when we took turns swinging... the seat itself being a good two and a half to three feet across). I can't wait to see what this area looks like in late spring, when things are actually green and in bloom!
And to give you an idea exactly how muddy that hike was... a bonus photo of my shoes. Which reminds me, I still need to work on getting the mud off.
