The week in photos, part one

fenchurchSeriously, one of these days I'm going to stay on top of my photos and actually get them posted they day they're taken.
Monday is a bit dull... just a trip to Trader Joe's, one of my favorite places to go shopping. That building in the background is one of the "additions" to the local hospital... they did a bunch of construction there several years back adding on a new "wing" and building this addition next to the old hospital. The new wing is more than twice the size of the old building and the addition is a little bit bigger than the old hospital. And it sort of looms over the Trader Joe's.
Tuesday, I headed out a bit past Redmond Ridge to find a Geocache... and ended up walking out into the woods to a cache near a bit of random artwork. Someone had carved the ends of some felled trees... probably inspired by the artist who did the same to a bunch of the trees that were knocked over in a big windstorm a few years back out near Woodinville (I really wish they'd posted more photos, because they really were quite pretty... I believe most of them ended up getting cut off by people who took them home, though).
And Wednesday it was back out Redmond Ridge for a nice hike out to another Geocache, that took a bit longer than it should have due to more downed trees.
So, it's hard to tell, but that signpost is right next to the trail... which is currently covered by downed trees... and the directions are completely useless (in fact, I ended up going down the wrong trail and had to circle back around to get where I needed to go).
And now for something completely unrelated to Geocaching: new wedding rings!
rackham and I never had matching wedding rings. After I lost all that weight, my wedding ring started slipping off... so in recent years I've been wearing an old ring my mom picked up at a gift shop when we were living on Guam back in the 70s. It's actually quite pretty (silver with a blue cloisonné design) and I got more compliments on it in the first month I wore it than I ever did on my real wedding ring. Rackham's ring has been too big on him since his weight-loss too, so we decided to keep an eye out for matching rings we both liked. These popped up on sale on Tanga.com not long ago and we decided to give them a try... titanium with carbon fiber.
