fenchurch | A room full of Geocachers

I didn't mean to make this two days in a row of Geocaching photos (and this is my last photo today... I promise! I'm finally caught up), but I ended up not feeling well partway through the day and have only the photos I took at the Washington State Geocachers Association holiday party this afternoon to choose from.

One of the things I've found I really love about caching is getting to meet other cachers. If you do it for awhile, sooner or later, you're bound to bump into a few other cachers out on the trail (often going for the same cache you are... so you can find yourself teaming up on a search with complete strangers). Even better, though, are events like this... where we all get together for some reason or other and can just sit around and chat. It's a great place to swap stories about cool or clever caches you've found, or to get ideas and even hints for specific caches that might be eluding you. At one of the first events we attended, someone mentioned fence-cap caches... until that point, we'd never found one and I'm not entirely sure it would have ever occurred to us to check for loose fencepost caps in the first place.

And after bumping into each other out on the trail and meeting up at events, we've started making some really good friends because of this hobby!
