Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] vampry and [livejournal.com profile] kantayra and several others:

Name a CD you own that no one else on your friends list does: There's the distinct possibility that [livejournal.com profile] tomte has this one, but I'm going to go with "Doot-Doot" by Freur. I'm guessing it's also likely no one else has a copy of the Megamix single by Boney M, either.

Name a book you own that no one else on your friend's has: Venus on the Half-Shell by Kilgore Trout. And I thought that one was a good bet. Um, how about Labyrinth (the novelization of the David Bowie movie) by A.C.H. Smith?

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no one else on your friends list does: I may be wrong about this, but I doubt too many people own a real copy of "American Dreamer" with JoBeth Williams and Tom Conti. But they should.

Name a place you have visited that no one else on your friends list has: Banzai Cliff on Saipan.

Venus on the Half-Shell by Kilgore Trout.

Actually, it's my husband's but sits on our joint shelf. The roommate from hell walked off with my copy when she moved out.

I would love to have a copy of "American Dreamer" -- I discovered it on cable and it really is a marvelous film.

Ah, well... I was taking a bit of a gamble, since I've actually run into people who don't think the book exists. :-p I've taken a second stab at the book... though this one probably won't make the grade either.

Not that I've read it yet - my father recced it to me approx. 15 years ago, and still it sits.

LOL! I've got a ton of books like that. It's not the best thing ever written by Philip Jose Farmer, but it's a fun book to have if only for the cultural reference.

Boney M! I have a "Best Of Boney M" CD, but that's not on there...

I'm too late to be the first to say it, but I have "Venus..." somewhere, too. :-)

Unless there was more than one Labyrinth novelization, you'll have to try again on the book. :)

You're the second person on my friends' list who has American Dreamer. I have it too. And you're right; everyone should have a copy.

I also, however, have Labyrinth the novelization.
