And of course, after days of obsessively following every little shake and quake, I wasn't home or anywhere near a news source when it finally did blow. Nope. I was at Curves, being good and exercising and wondering why no one else was there working out, even though it was just after Noon.

Even worse... I stayed clueless until I hopped online and nmissi told me it had happened. *headdesk*

Ah well... while it was a fairly cool small eruption, the emphasis is definitely on the small -- 24 minutes with steam and a little bit of ash being thrown to about 10,000 feet.

Don't feel bad. I just found about it from reading your post. Isn't it ironic that everyone outside of the Pacific Northwest seems to know about this before we do? *smirk*
