Tuesday and Wednesday...

On Tuesday and Wednesday, I finally conceded that I needed to just stay home and not do much if I had any hope of getting over the cold I picked up in Florida. It seems to have mostly worked, although the cough is lingering a bit.

So, for Tuesday, you get a photo of a cute, sleeping cat... ( namely, Numfar curled up on one of the cat chairs next to my desk. )

On Wednesday, I managed ( to capture a bit of a sun break in our dark cloudy skies. )

Thursday: Wait, are those what I think they are?!?

So, on Thursday I was heading down the valley toward Redmond when something caught my eye in a tree off to the side of the road about a mile from our house. And oh my gosh, yes... yes they really were what I thought they were! I turned around the first chance I got and thanked my lucky stars that I at least had my little pocket Lumix camera in the car (although I *really* wish it had been my nice Canon EOS with the good lens, instead) and didn't just have to depend on my cellphone's camera.

Friday: Small town life

Nearly caught up now! On Friday, I ran up into Monroe to find a Geocache and thought I'd snap a shot of one of the large ad murals out along Main Street. There's actually a Mexican food truck just to the right of where I'm standing that I haven't tried yet, but really should. It always smells so good!

Saturday: All is as it should be

This week, rackham has been working hard to get things set up downstairs in the library so he could use the Xbox 360 there. It's meant clearing out boxes and unearthing components and jury-rigging things to hold said components as well as a television... but he did it! As of this morning, he now has things up and running with surround sound, space to jump around while using the Kinect ( and, much to Zoë's delight, a couch to sit on while playing. )

And, even better, I'm finally all caught up from my week away!!!
