A beautiful winter day... for kayaking???
Jan. 23rd, 2014 08:06 pm(And no... I was NOT the one in a kayak.)
While we're not as cold as the rest of the country (or as cold as we were a month ago), it's still a bit on the chilly side. I'd been planning on going for a 30 minute walk at the YMCA's indoor track today, but partway there decided it was too beautiful a day to pass up an outdoor excursion... so I detoured into Woodinville and started walking up the Sammamish River Trail. It was 43°F (which, while not freezing, is a bit brisk) but there wasn't any wind and there *was* a good deal of sun... add in a bit of exertion (I wasn't doing a stroll, I was averaging about a 15 minute mile) and my hoodie was plenty warm!
I got a few shots of the scenery here and there, but had a bit of a surprise come up the river... ( A kayaker and his dog. )
