The view from Medina

Friday was gorgeous here, with absolutely clear blue skies... which of course meant it was cooooold. I decided to run down to Medina (pronounced "muh-DYE-nuh" around these parts...) to find a Geocache and to see if I could find any good views across Lake Washington. The cache was easy (there were plenty available... in the 17-ish years we've lived in the area, I believe this was the first time I'd ever actually been to Medina (it's where a lot of the really rich people live (such as Bill Gates and his family)), and once I found the main "beach" down by city hall, the photo was pretty easy too. This is looking mostly south, across Lake Washington and toward Mercer Island.

Nicely done Geocache (aka Saturday's photo)

On Saturday, rackham and I headed south and spent a few hours just bopping around and hitting Geocaches. We'd done a bit of research first and found some of the top rated caches in the area we'd chosen and made sure to hit all of those... and we were not disappointed! I decided to get some photos of one of the better done caches we ran across (bit of a spoiler warning for Geocachers in the area... even though I'm not going to say which cache this was). We've seen similar caches before, but this one was particularly well done.

( The trick is to find the thing that looks like it belongs, but doesn't. )

A room full of Geocachers

I didn't mean to make this two days in a row of Geocaching photos (and this is my last photo today... I promise! I'm finally caught up), but I ended up not feeling well partway through the day and have only the photos I took at the Washington State Geocachers Association holiday party this afternoon to choose from.
