Today *is* Monday, isn't it?
Jan. 22nd, 2007 09:37 amNot Tuesday?
I'm asking because the garbage truck just trundled through the neighborhood. A day early.
Keep in mind that last week we got no garbage pick up at all (due to the extreme ice and snow). Now, if they're still planning to come by tomorrow, it won't bug me too much, but I highly doubt that's the case. So, they completely skipped one week and then came a day early without notifying anyone ahead of time so they could, oh... I don't know... actually put their garbage out to be picked up?
Grrr.
ETA: And here's what makes it even more annoying. From the Allied Waste Service website:
Customer Instructions for missed container collections:
If your Garbage was missed, please remove the containers from the street until your next regularly scheduled service day, then set out up to double the normal amount for no extra charge.
I *thought* I'd remembered hearing one of their representatives on the news telling people to bring their trashcans in. It makes the whole "coming a day early" thing even more mind-boggling.
