I love the modern age
Dec. 13th, 2008 11:37 amEvery once in awhile, something will happen that will just fill me with wonder and glee at the world we live in.
I posted a status update this morning on my Facebook account saying we were getting ready to head down to Portland (my niece and nephew just turned one and there's a family gathering, including my grandparents up from Sacramento). So here we are on the road heading south when my phone buzzes to let me know I've gotten email. It was a Facebook reply from my cousin... who is currently in Iraq (half a world away and in a war zone), telling me to watch for traffic cops while driving through Vancouver.
And to top it off, I'm now updating my LJ to tell you about it while sitting in the car, driving past Olympia.
Technology is so cool.
