Eliminating Stupidity
Aug. 15th, 2004 09:16 amOr, at least, my stupidity.
I haven't updated in ages, and it's certainly not for a lack of things to write about. In fact, it's probably the overabundance of interesting things that has kept me away. And, even worse, when I finally do get time to write, I don't do it simply because I'm totally overwhelmed by the amount of catch-up I need to do.
So, I've finally decided to just screw the past (so to speak) and plow ahead. I'll probably do a bit of backtracking in the next little while, if only to fill in some of the blanks, and because there really have been some fun and interesting things going on in my life in the past few months (since April I have been home for a combined grand total of 42 days... and figuring ahead, that total will change by only one day well into September).
Today I'm getting ready for my Monday morning flight to visit
nmissi and our new annual tradition (as in, this is the second year in a row we've done it) of driving up to Indianapolis for GenCon. Oh, and still reveling in the fact that I'm, HOME, if only for one more day. I love my bed.
And finally, a really quick word about WriterCon. It totally rocked. Okay, that's three words and there will hopefully be more forthcoming, because there's such a lot to talk about... though not as much as there would have been earlier, since so many people have already filled in the blanks on their LJs.

Date: 2004-08-16 07:57 am (UTC)You know, for some reason I keep thinking you guys live somewhere near Chicago... I'm not sure why.
I'm going to be staying with my Star Wars group at one of the hotels attached to the convention center (as I recall, from last year's GenCon and from Star Wars Celebration II, there are a handful of them that all feed into the place), but I'm not remembering which one off the top of my head.
I'll doublecheck tomorrow when I get to Louisville and email you. Or maybe just email you with my cellphone number, since I plan on taking that along this year. I'd love to meet up at some point, if you've got the time!!
