In five words, explain what ended your last friendship?
Never really had one "end."
How was your prom night?
Mostly fun. I went with my best friend and, as I recall, we didn't end up sticking around for the dance portion very long because the music sucked. We had a lot more fun going out to dinner and then just goofing off afterward.
Do you have any famous relatives?
Not that I am aware of. Although I guess my in-laws are actually pretty well known in their areas of expertise... which I suspect doesn't count. Oh, and I'm distantly related to Geronimo.
Have you taken out loans to pay for college?
No.
What did you receive last in the mail?
A birthday card, I think.
What beverages have you drank today?
Water.
Do you leave nasty messages on people's answering machines?
No.
What's the most painful surgical procedure you've had done?
None have ever been painful while they were happening, but since I've only ever had three (if you count having my wisdom teeth removed), I would have to say that it was definitely the shoulder surgery. Hurt shoulders suck because they're connected to everything... *breathing* makes them hurt.
What is out your back door?
The back deck... we've got some strawberry plants on it and a birdfeeder (although the squirrels have been tearing them apart pretty much as quickly as we can get new ones. Rotten squirrels!)
Do you usually go out on the weekends?
Sometimes. So, technically, I guess the answer is no... because I don't "usually" go out.
Do you like what the ocean does to your hair?
The ocean itself? I'm not sure I ever noticed it doing anything to my hair. The wind at the ocean? Yes and no. I kinda like getting completely wind-tossled, at least for the first few minutes, but it gets old REALLY fast. And then it's all tangled.
Have you ever visited a planetarium or do you even know what one is?
Do I even know what one is?!?! o.O Yes, I have been to several planetariums.
What is your favorite flavor of pudding?
I like homemade banana or vanilla pudding. Occasionally I get cravings for butterscotch pudding from a mix, but I'm never sure why.
Describe your keychains:
Nothing special. I have a Jumpdrive and a small keychain pen.
Where do you keep your change?
Other than my wallet? In the Darth Vader head ceramic bank that I got at the teacup auction at JadeCon one year.
When was the last time you got up and spoke in front of a large crowd?
I'm not really sure. It's probably been awhile, since I'm not terribly fond of it.
What kind of winter coat do you have?
A black trenchcoat... it's got a liner I can add in case it gets really cold.
What was the weather like on your graduation day?
Sunny? I think?
Do you sleep with the door to your bedroom open or closed?
Open. There's nothing you can do that will make a cat want to get to the other side of a door more than closing it.
Is there anything purple within 20 feet of you?

What is the strangest thing you've put in the microwave?
A CD. It gets all crackly.
Can you speak any Japanese?
Some very basic things. Oh, and I can insult people. Always a handy tool in international relations.
Do you look good in the color yellow?
No.
Do you spit or smoke?
No.
What is your favorite color(s)?
Indigo. Or almost any jewel tone, really.
Ever played an instrument?
Recorder, clarinet, bass clarinet, piano (I'm currently taking lessons) and I can muddle through a bit on the guitar. I tried my hand at oboe at one point and could never get the hang of it. And I had bagpipe lessons once -- I did pretty well at it and really enjoy it... but I have really horrible lung capacity and I kept nearly passing out while trying to play the practice chanter, so I had to give it up.
Do you believe in Bigfoot, or Sasquatch?
I did when I was a kid.
Ever been to a palm reader?
No.
Did they tell you the truth about your future?

What are you thinking about at this very moment?
That I really should practice the piano because I haven't had a chance to yet today.
Have you ever received a black eye?
No.
What is your biggest current disappointment?
I don't think I have one.
What are some of your favorite drinks?
Water. Lemon Squash. Homemade lemonade... especially with a bit of fresh mint.
Do you have anything that hurts on your body at this time?
My shoulder aches a bit, but that's been a pretty constant thing for awhile now. The bottom of my foot hurts from a blister I got yesterday while going for a 2.5 mile walk in my new sandals (yeah, I know it was stupid).
Have you ever ridden in a taxi?
Yes. A few times, when I've been on vacation.
What is the last alcoholic drink you had?
When I was 20 years old I went out to dinner with my mom, step-dad and youngest step-sister (who was 8 at the time). I ordered a Virgin Pina Colada and when it arrived I thought it tasted a bit funny... like bitter oranges. But, it had an orange slice on top so I assumed they'd just added orange syrup or something. Still, it did taste funny, so I shared it with my step-sister, who also thought it tasted odd. As did my mom when she tried it. Finally, my step-dad took a sip and informed us that it had rum in it.
So, that's it. My one experience with alcohol. Served to me illegally and by mistake... and I probably would have finished the whole thing without realizing it.

I pulled everything out of my closet and sorted out the clothes that are too large (they're going to be donated).

Crab legs.
