First off, I wanted to say a big *HAPPY BIRTHDAY* to [livejournal.com profile] rahirah!!

You know, I've been running into an odd problem... either my life is so boring that I don't have anything to say here, or I've got so much going on that I don't have time to post. Then, of course, when I finally *do* get some time to post, it's usually been long enough that anything I might want to say is no longer pertinent. :-p

To quickly catch everyone up... I just got back from a longer-than-I'd-planned-but-still-a-whirlwind trip: first over to Spokane (well, about 40 miles north of Spokane, in the middle of the woods) to visit my dad, then across into Montana and down into Idaho Falls, ID to visit my grandmother and take her a new computer, then down into Utah to pick up [livejournal.com profile] rackham at the airport (he only had enough time to fly down for the weekend) before heading to his parents' house in Provo (it was his birthday and he almost never gets to go home for a visit, so it was a real treat), then back up to SLC to visit our friends Wind Son and Space Bumby (from the old BBS days -- sadly, they don't have LJ accounts), drop Rackham off at the airport for his flight out at an ungodly hour of the morning (he had to be back to work that day), back up to my grandmother's to fix something on her computer that I'd forgotten to do, followed by a drive through Boise (with a stop-over at Chuck-a-Rama for lunch (don't laugh, they have fantastic food)), a stop in LaGrande, OR to see my mom, a beautiful drive through the Yakima Valley (I could see at least two of the volcanoes in the distance... I think Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens), and finally home again to collapse into an exhausted coma.

So, that's it, that's been my life for the past few weeks. A lot going on, but not much to say.

Wow. You certainly have been busy. I can't believe how far you've travelled in that time, and back and forth to boot. I know how exhausting it can be. I've done it a time or two to locations between Colorado, California, Utah, then back home to Idaho.

And hey, Chuck-a-Rama isn't bad. Hubby loves it there. :)

The worst part is that I wind up craving their scones and honey butter for at least a week afterward. Might just have to try whipping up some honey butter and Navajo Fry Bread...

Heh. I have actually done that. Not as good, but...

How are WS and SB anyway? You'd think I'd keep in better contact, seeing as how they aren't all that far away. But I think I've become a hermit since going back to school. And having viral bronchitis might also have something to do with it. Feh.
