From the Louisville Airport
Aug. 16th, 2006 12:32 pmWell, my long-standing paranoia about being late for flights has meant that I massively over-estimated the wait on this one... so when all was said and done, I ended up with two hours to waste before my flight leaves (of which, I have about an hour left).
Baggage check-in was wonderfully fast, and there was almost no line at Security. They had to check one of my bags, but it was done while I was putting my laptop away and getting my slippers back on, so I didn't even have to wait for that. This is probably one of big advantages of first flying out of a smaller airport... I've got about a two hour layover in Minneapolis, though I'm not sure I'll pay for internet there, too. I'll have to see how bored I get!
It's been a marvelous weekend, which I'll hopefully remember to post about later. I swear, Louisville is beginning to feel like a second home and, during JadeCon, the Indy Hyatt feels like a third home! And it just amazes me how wonderful it is that these people have come into my life...
The one big thing I regret is that I didn't get a chance this year to visit with
merripen and
krrayn like I usually do. There just wasn't any time -- I remembered, later, that I'd had to come back up to Indy to visit them after the convention was over last year. I was just heading back home a bit too early for it this year.
