My plane landed about 20 minutes late last night... which isn't half bad, since we left San Jose about 30 minutes late (there was some problem with the original plane, so they swapped it out for a different one -- I'm certainly not going to complain too much about that) and at least the San Jose airport was running their air conditioning, unlike the Orange County one! Ugh. All those people, huge windows everywhere letting in the sun, and NO AIR CONDITIONING. I'm surprised there weren't fist-fights! Yeesh. Talk about a way to make tempers flare!

One of the first things I did when I got home was watch this week's episode of "Treasure Hunters" (largely because [livejournal.com profile] rackham had watched it when it aired and anxiously wanted to talk to me about it). This week was just as good as every other... I still can't believe I've actually found a reality show I like!

It was fun seeing the groups go to France and England, though I don't think they got to see much of either place. I loved how every once in awhile, one of them would just screech to a halt and realize "Oh wow... that's the Eiffel Tower!" or somesuch before heading off at a run again. I was NOT surprised that the Geniuses figured out the lemon juice on the paper trick right away, and I am a bit shocked that it took everyone else so long to get it. Honestly, it was the first thing I thought of... with that huge blank space on the paper and all those candles hanging around.

And, finally, the Fogal Family is gone!!! Yay!!! No more having to fast forward through so many of their scenes every week (every time Kayte whined, screamed or threw a tantrum, and every time the family "prayed" (I have such a hard time calling it prayer, considering how awful they were and how hypocritical the prayers usually ended up being)). At least I didn't totally despise them by the end... I think they had finally realized that the way they were playing the game wasn't actually going to help them in the end (i.e. they had forgotten the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you -- they actively screwed over too many of the other teams, who then actively screwed them over).

The other thing that was a relief was that it looked like the players were finally able to catch up on a bit of sleep with all the traveling they were doing (sleeping on the plane, sleeping on the ferry), because I was getting exhausted just watching them.

Followed that up with Monday's "Tonight Show" in order to watch Headlines. Yes, we're longtime Headlines junkies. It actually worked well as a method of gauging how far along the healing process we were after the accident... because in the first few weeks we had to pause the show, practically every few seconds, in order to quit laughing because it hurt so bad. Thankfully, that hasn't been a problem for a long time now.

And then, bliss... sleeping in my own bed, not needing air conditioning because it was cool enough outside to be comfortable anyway! Ahhhh....

Today I hit the ground running... though not walking, since [livejournal.com profile] taradaktyl and I hadn't made any arrangements to get together for our normal morning walk. It's just as well, because I had a piano lesson (which went horribly -- I hadn't been able to practice at all in the previous week) and then I had PT, which took half an hour longer than normal. Now I'm sore. Not like I wasn't sore to begin with, either. Hmmph. My PT did get approval for me to have a session with acupuncturist next week, so I'm really looking forward to that.

I was a little disappointed when it looked like no one at the PT clinic had ever heard of "Snakes on a Plane" (I wore my t-shirt today). Then, when I went to tell the one slightly-fannish PT about the release of "The Tick" animated series on DVD later this year (oh, yeah... that's the other bit of news from Comic-Con I forgot to mention!), he spotted the shirt and actually yelled "Snakes on a Plane!!!!!!!!!" Hee! I should have guessed he'd know what it was.

This is a great show. Though I'm surprised. If you like this one then you realy should be watching "The Amazing Race".

I'm so bummed that I have no one here to see "Snakes on a Plane" with. No one else shares my excitement for what a rediculously awesome movie this is going to be.

Sorry that PT was so painful. You've been traveling a lot, so I'm kinda not surprised that you have some ground to make up.

You'll have to tell me about the acupuncturist. I'm seriously considering going for my back.

And "Snakes on a Plane." It's just too funny sounding not to go see. I like a movie that just tells you what it is straight out. Should be fun!

Not to mention Pinky & The Brain and Animaniacs came out this weekend. (Target has the lowest price around here. I know, I checked.)

Oh! Thanks! I was planning on picking them up today (I looked for them yesterday at CostCo with no luck) and hadn't been sure where would be best.

The Animaniacs/Pinky & the Brain panel I went to at Comic-Con was about the DVD release (they even showed some of the special features), which just got me even more excited about it.

Of course, now I'm also reeeeeaaalllly looking forward to the release of "The Tick" animated series later this year (finally!!).

Yeah, and I was sore already from wearing a backpack during the convention (which was better than any of the alternatives, but probably still wasn't a good idea).

I've gone to an acupuncturist before... in fact, when we were still living in Utah, there was one I went to on a regular basis. She helped me get off the really nasty medication I was on for chronic bronchitis, and just helped me improve my health, overall. So, I'm really looking forward to seeing what the acupuncturist at the PT clinic can do to help with my shoulders.

As for "Snakes on a Plane," I'm really hoping to find a theater around here that's doing it up right, with a midnight showing and lots of hype... because I suspect the experience of watching the movie in those conditions will be better than the movie, itself.

A song (revised yet again)!

On the first day of Comic-Con I had to go and see
A panel of Juniper Lee!

On the second day of Comic-Con I had to go and see
Two Star Wars floats
And a panel of Juniper Lee!

On the third day of Comic-Con I had to go and see
Three old men
Two Star Wars floats
And a panel of Juniper Lee!

On the fourth day of Comic-Con I had to go and see
Four famous actors
Three old men
Two Star Wars floats
And a panel of Juniper Lee!

On the day after Comic-Con a PT yelled at me
[Eddie Izzard and friends run in from other rooms to sing]
"SNAAAAKES ON A PLAAAAANE!"
*ba-dum dum dum*
Four famous actors
Three old men
Two Star Wars floats
And a pa-nel of Ju-ni-perrr Leeeeeee!

OK, I'm done now.
