Comic-Con Preview Night
I am *so* going to be toast this weekend... just over two hours of walking around the convention floor today and I'm already exhausted!
Surprisingly (considering how huge and how utterly packed the place was), we managed to run into several people we know. We bumped into![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
archerrat and raykel right as we were going in to get our badges and then ran into one other CJer (who doesn't have an LJ, as far as I know) not long after we hit the floor. I said a quick hello to a very busy telaryn... her booth was really hopping! But then it usually is! I also ran into deannab at the Sideshow Collectibles booth, both of us were ogling the Premium Spike figure they had on display, and I kept trying to remember where I'd seen her before when it hit me... we'd met, years ago, at 14 Below when JM was still performing there solo.
Let's see... the Premium Spike figure... wow. I mentioned there was ogling, there was also a steady repetition (on my part) of "I don't need this, I don't need this, I don't need this." But oh, was it pretty...
The upcoming Cordelia doll doesn't look too bad, but the Giles doll looked nothing like him. I'm hoping it's just a prototype and they'll come up with a better one before they go into production.
The other big news, for me, is the announcement that the old "Dungeons and Dragons" cartoon is finally getting released on DVD in November!! Huzzah!!!! I loved that show when I was a kid and haven't seen it since... hopefully it lives up to my memories and doesn't suck too badly!
