In like Twin (Falls, that is)

I ended up getting on the road close to 5:00 and made it as far as Twin Falls... at which point I decided I was tired and sore enough to stop, and also figured that if I continued on to Boise, I might not be able to find a hotel room, anyway. The hotels here in Twin Falls were filling up quickly... it's just a big weekend for travel, due to the holiday.

The hotel clerk tried rather actively to persuade me to take an upgraded room, but I stuck with what I'd wanted... plain old (and less expensive) hotel room. And then he "gave me a free upgrade" to a room with a whirlpool bathtub, which leads to to strongly suspect they were running out of the regular rooms. :-p I plan on enjoying the bathtub just as soon as I'm done on here!

One nice thing about traveling while still not completely recovered from the food poisoning is that dinner was really cheap: A microwavable container of Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup and a cup of pudding. It was still the most food I've eaten since Thursday, and now I'm seriously sleepy. This bodes well for an early departure tomorrow, which I'll need since it's about a ten hour drive from here to home (I may see about stopping off for a nap at my mom's place and then just get home really late).

Glad to know you've stopped for the night. Hope you enjoy your "free upgrade" tub, and take it easy.

I'm enjoying reading of your adventures. Our summer road trip had to be postponned so this is a bit of a vicarious vacation. Though I was sorry to hear of you food poisoning and am glad you are recovering.
