We just got back from a run to Trader Joe's and on the way there we passed a woman who had obviously just been, because she was carrying one of their paper grocery sacks in one hand and chatting on her cellphone with the other...

...while riding on her unicycle!!!!

I kid you not.

And yeah, it certainly made me do a double-take!

Many years ago, at the end of my first semester of college, during my first finals week, I was walking back to my dorm from a physics study section.

Going through the physics in my head, worrying, I looked up and across the street: a guy, wearing a panama hat, sipping soda through a straw while riding a unicycle.

All I could think was that it was a very interesting vision to see while cracking under the pressure; but I wasn't sure what it symbolized.

I think I've seen that lady before. She used to come to Fred Meyer when I worked there (perhaps she still goes there). There was a man in Ellensburg who would come to the Fred Meyer there on his unicycle type thing. :-D
