24 Premiere

Whoa... fastest two hours of television I've seen in a very long time.

Does anyone else wonder exactly how the President has managed to avoid breaking his own neck from accidentally tying his own shoelaces together? It's called terminal stupidity, and it's the one thing about the show that really annoys me.

The first thing I thought when the President played the phone call recording was that it had to have been doctored... yay! I was right!

They've managed to find another teenager to put in danger who I don't find annoying... although last year's endangered teenager was cuter.

I'm really going to miss Michelle.

Please don't let Tony die!

I wonder if we'll ever find out how the bad guys knew Jack wasn't dead...

I can't believe they killed President Palmer!

And, finally, Geraint Wyn Davies!!!!!!! *Fan-girlish Squee!!!* I almost jumped out of my seat with glee when I first saw him in shadows on the screen. Eeeeeeee!!!!

Wasn't that just ass-kicking? I'm so sad about David and Michelle because I adored them both (I've been a huge Dennis Haysbert fan since Now and Again, which starred Eric Close, and had a wonderful guest appearance by Reiko Aylesworth, so the two characters are inextricably entwined with this show I adored above all others), but as long as they let my Tony live, I'm okay. Also, Chloe. I'm just sayin'.

Geraint Wyn Davies? In shadows? Please tell me no angsting in this role...

*does not watch 24, or any other network show for that matter, but after hearing everyone and their brother squeeing over this season, is reconsidering*

Nope, looks like he's playing the bad guy... it was just so cool to see him on TV again!

As for 24, it really depends on what you like... I'm quite fond of watching things with lots of action, and this really fits the bill. The other thing that I really like is that the show is as close to apolitical as you can get. It's just such a relief to watch a show that includes politicians as characters that doesn't get stupid about it.
