Greetings from Interstate 84!!

It works! It works! [livejournal.com profile] rackham is driving at the moment, so I figured I'd see if I could connect to the Wi-Fi umbrella out of Hermiston, OR. This is too cool! Here we are in the middle of literally nowhere (there's nothing in sight except for farmland) and we've got broadband.

I love technology!

Yay for technology! Thank you for the excellent card as well, it arrived yesterday.

Currently you seem to have better access to broadband than I have - I tried to post the above, but had lost the connection - this is because our Christmas tree is in between me and the wireless router for the in-house system! So you are miles from nowhere, and I am about 12 feet from the router, but with an artificial tree inbetween, and your reception is more efficient than mine!!

Do you think this is a function of not being twelve? Teenagers seem to simply take this all for granted, but those of us that can actually remember the days before computer and the Internet are still starstruck with each new advancement.

I fear this wonderment I still feel, is just more proof that I am, indeed, middle-aged.
