Back in Indy!

nmissi had to work today and tomorrow, so I figured it would be an ideal time to run back up to Indianapolis! It's only about two hours from Louisville and I'd never really had much of a chance to explore the area... plus, I wasn't ever able to find the time to visit with merripen and krrayn last weekend. I'm also planning on taking the scenic route back, hopefully visit a few of the caverns in southern Indiana. For the time being, I've managed to find a decent, yet inexpensive, hotel room in south Indy (with air conditioning and free wi-fi... you know, the important stuff).

Anyone have any suggestions for Must-See spots in southern Indiana?

Oh! On the drive up I actually saw a billboard advertising a Motel 6 with free wi-fi! The times, they are a-changing!

I still need to figure out exactly who I'm going to try to meet up with at Dragon*Con, since it looks like so many of my LJ friends are going to be there, I don't want to miss anybody. And at some point soon I need to actually log in to Sparklies again and see what they have planned for the D*C meetup.

Still horribly behind on everything -- email and LJ. People keep posting, what's with that? :-p

Well I'll be easy to spot during the day. Basement dealer's room -- most likely first table in. T-shirts...look for the obnoxious short haired woman vibrating at a high rate of speed.

my officemate from Indiana recommends the zoo - supposedly there is a great section with a butterfly display - in the english rose garden - hope you can enjoy it!

Somewhere south of Bloomington there's a patch of old-growth forest. Truly lovely, big tall trees.

But duh, you must have some of that out in WA?
