fenchurch: (Looking Up)

Okay, I went through and did a bit of editing (which is the absolute beauty of this particular medium). As [livejournal.com profile] genebreshears pointed out, we still have to go through the day for it to be added to the count... so I tweaked a few things below. It lacks a little oomph for being early, but I thought it'd be a bit silly to delete and repost it tomorrow

It's now halfway through the year, minus about 23 hours.

I think I'm on a pretty good track for doing the things I wanted to get done this year: I started piano lessons a few months ago, I'm about halfway to becoming more organized (which is really just another way of saying I'm not actually organized yet, but at least I'm putting a lot of effort into it), I cleaned out the Junk Room, and I think I'm finally on my way to having some medical-type issues under control (since I started going to the Naturopath two months ago, I'm *FINALLY* losing weight again for the first time in a year and a half).

Still on the list, that I can remember off the top of my head: Learn how to knit (shoud be easy, I've had all the stuff I need for it since January or so), increase my level of physical activity (we're buying one of these bikes tomorrow and the plan is to start making use of the many, many bike paths in the area), and take a trip into orbit (that's been on the list since I was two years old, still haven't made it, but it's getting more and more likely). I'm sure there were more things I wanted to accomplish, but since I can't recall them, they must not have been important. :-p

Um, no, tomorrow at noon it will be halfway through the year. As of noon today we had 183.5 days left, not 182.5.

Ack! You're right... because we have to go through the whole day for it to count and then add on the one-half (and now you see why I never, ever considered the becoming an accountant).

*realizes she really needs a good "D'oh!" icon for moments like these*

Ooo!!!

You can learn how to knit at JadeCon!!! Tons of us knit and would be happy to help you out! I'd be suprised if people weren't knitting at times. :)

I believe even Nancy will be there- she's an EXCELLENT teacher and is pretty much responsible for most of us learning. :)

That's right! Now I just need to remember to pack my knitting supplies... even though the trip is over a month away, it's never too early to start making a list of things to pack. Especially where I'm heading out almost to the other side of the continent.

Will you come yell at me and make me 1) create a to-do list, then 2) follow it? 'cuz you're impressive.

PS - Love your icon.

(once more, this time with proper coding, hopefully)

Thanks! The picture came through Baaaaabyanimals (https://www.dreamwidth.org/error:bogus-lj-url) a few weeks ago, and when I snipped it down to icon size, that font just fit perfectly. It's probably the one icon I've made where I'm actually proud of how well it turned out.

Grrrr... okay, so apparently that's not how it's coded. I couldn't actually find any info on how to code a link to a community, so I was winging it. Hmph.

Hope you don't mind, gonna try something... does it work like this? [livejournal.com profile] baaaaabyanimals

That seemed to work. I always just code a community like an lj-user, and I guess that works well enough, too.

Will be there, and would be happy to teach. (and thanks for the kind words, Eliz!)

Feel the power of the knit side. . .
