Seeing "Serenity" Again

Okay, nobody kill me... I got tickets to see "Serenity" again (and yes, for those keeping score at home, this will be my third time). I still can't believe I managed it! I wasn't expecting the site to update when I refreshed, and there it was!!! My first attempt to get tickets failed fairly early in the process, sending me back to the beginning... and then it was clear sailing!

So, no need to leave the county, much less the state this time! I was able to get tickets for [livejournal.com profile] rackham and four of our friends, as well... so I'm doing my part to spread the "Serenity" Love. And I didn't even need to stay up all night to do it! Of course, now I'm coming down from that small burst of adrenaline that hit when Fandango updated, so it may take me awhile to get to sleep anyway.

Oh, and apparently Seattle sold out within four minutes of going live. Wow.

::sigh:: I'm just going to have to wait until September, I guess. I can't ever seem to score tickets. Folks just had best not spoil me at DragonCon. That's all I'm saying!

And I was even willing to deal with staying up late to see it, too!

That is a good amount of luck. Steph and I have failed, for the 3rd time in a row, to get tickets...

Is there any way you can tell me what the big shock in the film is without spoilering it for other people?

I have a suspicion I know, becasue it would be so Jossian, but I'd love to know for real.

I'm excited for you that you get to go again. That's great! I didn't even try this time. I'll just wait until September to see it again. :)

I found this site, where you can buy shirts to wear to the screening, if you want. I bought the 'leaf on the wind' one.

Oh! Cool!

I actually wound up getting one a friend told me about that has a Serenity "logo" type thing (though not the official one), with an outline of the ship over it... and then on the back it says "Serenity: Ain't nothin' restful about it."

I unfortunately really can't swing a midnight showing in the middle of the week, even if I can get tickets, this close. HEAVY SIGH. I'll have to wait until September, too!

Or just keep an eye out... rumor has it they're going to have one showing a month until the movie releases. And considering this is the third showing now, it does seem fairly likely.
