Friday: Small town life

Nearly caught up now! On Friday, I ran up into Monroe to find a Geocache and thought I'd snap a shot of one of the large ad murals out along Main Street. There's actually a Mexican food truck just to the right of where I'm standing that I haven't tried yet, but really should. It always smells so good!



I love that Monroe has a bunch of larger chain stores, but also that they still have this Main Street filled with smaller local shops, with some railroad tracks separating the two areas (the newer section with the larger stores is over a block or so on Highway 2). It's definitely a larger town than Duvall and I haven't explored it nearly as much as I'd like to.

I get the impression that they actually touch it up from time to time. Considering the amount of rain we get here, they'd almost have to in order to have colors that vibrant!
