Fun Election Stuff (non-political, I promise)
I don't how know many people have heard about this, but we still have no idea who the next Governor of Washington state will be. The election has stayed incredibly close as they've gone through first the absentee ballots and now the provisional ballots (which all have to be verified before they can be counted).
It's actually been really interesting... the news reports give updates throughout the day, with a running tally of votes and who is ahead. It's bounced back and forth, and the candidates have generally stayed within a few thousand votes of one another.
I was chatting with
tomte about it yesterday (and hopefully she won't mind me revealing her deep dark secrets comments on the situation), and she asked who was ahead at that point. I told her it was Rossi by 2000 (a switch from the day before), then commented that it's beginning to sound and feel like a really long ballgame... to which she replied "Rossi rebounds, HE SHOOTS HE SCORES!!!!"
Hee!
If only election reporting really was done like that. It would certainly make life more entertaining.

Re: Governor race
By law, they have to have a result by the 17th. Hopefully they're done counting by then.
You can check for current results by clicking here (http://www.vote.wa.gov/general/statewide_results.aspx?o=7FR30bVZqpnn5rCqJv1pVg%3d%3d), though of course they're done for the night.
