You know, I'm tempted to just start posting these weekly, since I seem to be averaging about that anyway... but I figure with the way my brain works that would only end up with me posting them monthly!

March 6th: Camouflage Kitty

Snapped this photo with my phone, first thing in the morning. Every cat we've ever had in our lives has absolutely loved this blanket and Numfar is no exception.

March 7th: Donating Blood (not for the squeamish)

[personal profile] rackham had gotten word through one of the email forums at his work of an Eagle Scout project blood drive at a nearby church. He wasn't going to be able to go, but I signed up since it had been awhile since my last donation. They love my blood since I'm O-positive and CMV-negative (I've even got a special "Rare Donor" card for when I check in at these things). The Puget Sound Blood Center just takes my blood in regular size bags, but down in Atlanta (when I donate during Dragon*Con), LifeSouth always takes my blood with several small bags, already split to the right sizes for newborns.

March 8th: Great Big Sea!

Not the best photo ever, but I had to just go with my phone. I was so jealous of my friends E & K who had front row seats (in fact, I actually think I can see the silhouette of K's head in that photo), but our seats weren't too bad. Great Big Sea put on a fantastic show, as always... this tour is celebrating their 20th anniversary.

March 9th: Snoqualmie Valley Trail

Yep, went out there again... it's such a beautiful spot to go walking and it had quite a few caches I hadn't found (I've pretty much cached it out now, but that's not going to keep me away). The trail is built on an old railroad bed, which means the bridges are old trestles. I just love the way these things look.

March 10th: Tree Roots

Rackham and I went out hiking in a huge, wild greenspace area just outside Woodinville... looking for the final location of a puzzle cache we'd solved awhile ago. Not sure if this "park" actually has a name or not, but the trails were remarkably well-maintained. Here you can see that a tree had gotten blown over (that huge "wall" next to Rackham is actually the roots of a large tree) and someone had come along at some point, trying to reinforce the path with cut logs (the funny thing is that the old trail was still plainly visible on the other side of that wall... in the ground that got ripped up with the tree).
