Capturing December Day 1: Your View Today

Yesterday's entry...

I snapped a few shots from the front door and off the back deck with my camera this morning, but finally decided to go with this one I took with my phone during a walk in a park up near Mill Creek.



This area is fairly marshy normally, but with all the recent rains we've had it's obviously getting a bit flooded. Thankfully, the boardwalk is designed to float, although due to all the water it would rock back and forth quite a bit as we walked down it). We were heading out on this one to go find a Geocache, but ended up having to turn around and come back... it's kind of hard to see in the photo (and, in fact, we missed it completely until we were a little further on), but in the distance where it looks like the boardwalk may end? Yeah... it's actually submerged in about a foot or so of very cold water. We decided no cache was worth the possibility of frostbite, so we turned back and got another nearby cache.
