Apparently, I need some sort of daily goal in order to actually remember to update here regularly! I'm thinking I may try to update with *something* at least once a day, no matter how dull and boring my life may be (don't worry, I'll use cut-tags).

For some reason, I've been craving peanut butter lately. Not sure what that's about. I've been having about a tablespoon on a slice of bread in the late afternoons and that's worked really well... then the other day the craving turned to banana-flavored peanut butter, so I went looking for some online.

When I was a kid, there was this stuff called Koogle Peanut Butter Spread (and looking over it now (here's one of their commercials), it occurs to me that it wasn't even technically peanut butter, but "peanut butter spread" -- ewwww), that had several different flavors including chocolate, banana and vanilla. And I absolutely LOVED it.

A few years ago when we were down in Phoenix visiting Rackham's aunt, as well as [personal profile] rahirah, [personal profile] wildrider and [personal profile] napalm_isis, we stopped by a peanut butter cafe called P.B. Loco that had all sorts of flavored peanut butters and I was very pleased to see that they had banana flavored peanut butter. We brought home a jar and I finished it up awhile ago, but didn't get around to ordering another from their website. Well, I went looking for them today only to discover they'd closed down earlier this year. :-(

A quick search turned up another brand: Sunland Banana Peanut Butter along with the best news... their products are sold at a nearby grocery store! So, today's late afternoon snack was some marvelous banana flavored peanut butter. Yummy!!

I had another Physical Therapy appointment today and my PT is really pleased with my progress. I'm going to try swimming sometime in the next week or two and assuming that goes well, we may call my shoulder good! Or at least good enough to no longer need regular physical therapy visits. Of course, tonight I'm all sore after getting my shoulders seriously worked over this afternoon. Ow.

In Geocaching news, the other day they were teasing a story on the local news (link goes to video of the news story) about a bomb-defusing soldier who used skills he'd picked up Geocaching out in the field in Iraq and I knew immediately what "skills" they were talking about... it's funny how quickly Geocaching trains you to see the things that don't quite fit (even when they're disguised to look like they should). It becomes almost second nature... and I can't think of a better way to use those skills in the real world.
