Seahawks Parade!

No, I didn't go... I stayed home far, far away from the teeming masses of humanity. This actually happened last Wednesday... I'm having to play a bit of catch up, I'm afraid, because I've been dealing with a pernicious ear infection and haven't really felt up to writing anything. Bleh.

So, since I wasn't where the excitement was... and I wasn't really going much of anywhere that day anyway, you get a ( photo of the parade on my television! )

The Piano Guys

On Thursday evening, we did venture into downtown Seattle (nowhere near as difficult as it would have been the day before) to see The Piano Guys live in concert! What a fantastic show! And it occurred to me that this is now the second group we've gone to see in concert that really mostly exists because of YouTube (the other being Straight No Chaser, and we've gone to see them several times now when they've been in town). The music was fantastic, the guys were funny and are just unbelievably talented. ( For the encore, they did their version of 'What Makes You Beautiful' )

Rubber band ingenuity

And now we're to Friday's photo! A few weeks ago, the clip in the car mount for our GPS snapped... meaning it would no longer click into place on the ball-joint of the car mount. For a few days, I tried just having it sitting on the seat next to me and decided that really wasn't going to work. So, I looked over everything, stopped by an office supply store to pick up a bag of rubber bands and fixed it so it would work! You know, for the short term. On Friday, we finally got the replacement car mount for it, so I figured I'd better take ( a photo of my incredible feat of rubber band engineering. )

Snow!!!!

I was dithering over which of the not-so-good photos I'd taken today to use... when I realized it had started snowing outside! This is our first snow in the new house (that we've been here for... it actually snowed while we were away for Christmas), so we're actually pretty excited! You know, provided the roads aren't too awful to drive on in the morning. :-p I took this photo standing just outside the front door (it's cold outside, I wasn't going to venture much further).
