Eagle Court of Honor

Today we got to attend the Eagle Court of Honor for the son of some friends of ours. It's such an odd thing, because we've been friends with them since before this particular son was born... so we've been around in his life as long as he's been alive. So strange a) to be at an age where that can be true, but also b) to have lived in the same area long enough to be around to watch someone go from birth to adulthood (or near adulthood at this point, but getting close). I know this is pretty much the norm for most folks, but having grown up in the military and having moved so often, it definitely still feels odd to me.

( Anyway, it was a marvelous event and we're all so proud of him. )
