For various reasons, a few weeks ago we rather abruptly changed our minds about where we wanted to go on vacation... we'd originally been thinking of going to Hawaii in March or April, but decided instead to start looking for good deals in Orlando around the end of February. In one of those odd coincidences that life throws at you just to make you doubt there is such a thing as coincidence in the first place, the very next day I got an email from CostCo member services about some fantastic package deals in Orlando for the end of February. Even better, we found a redeye flight out of here that makes our airfare ridiculously cheap (now we just have to hope Cincinnati doesn't get snowed in when we're flying through there).

rackham decided to take a quick look out at the Kennedy Space Center site to see if anything might be launching around that time (thinking we might get to at least see a rocket of some sort) only to find out that the final launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery is scheduled for the day after we get there! So, he's been staking out auctions on eBay and last night finally managed to snag some tickets!! Sure, they're not for the Causeway, but we're going to be at Kennedy Space Center on launch day and there is not enough squee in the world to contain my joy and excitement!!!
