New motherboard! Yay!
Jan. 22nd, 2009 11:59 pmAlthough I'm still not posting from my desktop yet... since it's currently formatting one of my drives (hey, may as well use the new drive we bought when we thought that was the problem), and I have a ton of things still to install over there. And, yeah, it is a bit funny that after I finished updating all the drivers and installing virus scanners and the like, the first thing I thought to install was Lord of the Rings Online (even funnier is that it was the first thing
rackham thought of, as well). Until I realized I still only had the one drive running. I'm excited about having the new motherboard, though, since after thinking back on it I'm pretty sure my old one had been in the process of dying for quite awhile. I'm even betting all my USB ports will work every time I want to use them, now!
( We actually caught the two new episodes of 'Bones' as they aired tonight, while reconstructing my desktop. )
( Yesterday, we managed to catch the pilot for 'Lie to Me,' which was surprisingly good. )
In other news, I've discovered the wonders and joys of No Pudge Fat Free Brownie Mix. Sure there are other brownies on the market that fit the bill (these are only 2 Points per serving on Weight Watchers), but this brand has only about seven ingredients, all of which are pronounceable and are often found in a standard household kitchen. But the best thing about them is that there are easy instructions for making one serving at a time in the microwave! I'm in heaven! Tonight I made what will probably be my new favorite treat... one No Pudge brownie, whipped up in the microwave and still warm, topped with half a serving of vanilla frozen yogurt, a small drizzle of Midnight Moo chocolate sauce and two or three pecan halves, chopped up. MEGA-YUM!!!
