Home!!!

We got home earlier this evening, not quite dodging the storm as we'd hoped to do. The Blue Mountains in Oregon weren't too bad... a bit of compact snow and ice on the roads and blowing snow (not new stuff, though... just snow already on the ground, being swept across the road and breaking on road dividers like waves across a reef). The storm really hit, with snow and wind, just a little bit before we got to Lake Kachess and kept going across Snoqualmie Pass and all the way home. There's several inches on the ground out there right now and it's still falling, although they keep telling us it will eventually change to rain (which is kind of hard to believe right now).

We got the car unpacked and decided to try the drive up to Woodinville to do some grocery shopping at Top Foods. It was a bit of a toss-up, because there's a Safeway not too far from us, but Top has better produce (which is what we really needed) and a really good selection of pre-prepared foods that we could pick up for dinner... and we decided the roads didn't look bad enough to keep us closer to home. Probably not the best decision... we didn't do too badly, but we saw so many people spinning out all over the place (including one idiot in front of us on a hill who spun around completely at least three times while we were watching (from a VERY safe distance) and yet he/she kept riding their frickin' brakes all the down *facepalm*).

The cats are acting like we're covered in SuperGlue. Not terribly surprising... but wow. Clingy!
